About ME



I'm currently a Research Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine, in the Program on Integrative Medicine. In 2021, I completed a T32 Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Complementary and Integrative Health funded by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health. I am also currently Chair-Elect of the Integrative, Complementary, and Traditional Health Practices Section of the American Public Health Association. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Public Health (UTHealth), with Dr. Vanessa Schick. In December 2017, I graduated from the UTHealth School of Public Health with Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH). As a student, graduate assistant, and teaching assistant in the Community Health Practice program, I worked with professors and students throughout the Department of Management, Policy, and Community Health.

In 2013, I graduated from Georgetown University with a Master's of Science degree in Physiology, Biophysics, and Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Previously, I taught 7th grade Life Science in Oakland, CA as a Teach for America Corps Member. 

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oberlin College, where I studied Dance and Neuroscience.
